Easy New York City Access
Our intimate waterfront retreat is twenty-one miles from Midtown Manhattan. If you want to commute like a local, the Long Island Railroad station is one mile from the hotel and gets you to Penn Station or Grand Central Station in 35 minutes. You can take a short cab ride to the station or walk through Port Washington’s Main Street—a quintessential slice of Long Island. You can also easily access the city by car (directions here) or by sea, if you have a boat.
Play on Manhasset Bay
If you’d rather enjoy a day on the water than see the city, you are in the right place! Fathoms is located on a vibrant working waterfront. Ways to get out on the water include:
Port Washington Water Taxi - Shuttles guests directly from the Fathoms marina to waterfront bars and restaurants. Tours of the bay are also available.
Captain Steve Sailing - Private sailboat charter direct from the Fathoms marina aboard a thirty-four foot Benetau sailboat.
Long Island Boat Rentals - Offers captained and bare-boat rentals, yacht charters, water sports, and all manner of on-the-water fun (253’ feet from hotel).
The Angler Fleet - Offers private charter as well as open boat fishing trips. Other activities aboard their fleet include sunset and fireworks cruises (164’ from the hotel).
Port Tiki - Enjoy Manhasset Bay from a 2022 custom-built twenty-six foot quad-toon. Fitted with a tiki hut bar, bluetooth sound system, restroom and cool mood lighting. (164’ from the hotel).
